2024 Tata Nexon EV Facelift Revealed: New Features, Higher Range & More

 

Tata Motors’ electric vehicle division, Tata.ev, has unveiled its inaugural model under the rebranded identity — the 2024 Tata Nexon EV Facelift. This updated electric SUV, referred to as the Tata Nexon.ev, showcases refreshed exterior and interior designs. It introduces an array of enhancements, including extended battery range, improved performance, and enriched features.

The official launch event for both the Tata Nexon.ev is scheduled for September 14, 2024. Let’s zoom in on the features that this super EV boasts.

Two Variants & Abundant Range Options

Tata Motors offers the Nexon EV Facelift in two distinct trims: Long Range and Mid Range, catering to a variety of driving needs. The Mid Range variant boasts a 30 kWh battery pack, providing an impressive 325 km of range on a single charge. On the other hand, the Long Range version is equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery, pushing the range to a remarkable 465 km — 13 km more than its predecessor. This boost in range provides drivers with enhanced flexibility and peace of mind on their journeys.

Updated Nomenclature

Tata Motors is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to offering variety to its customers. The 2024 Tata Nexon EV will be available in a total of 11 variants, each with distinct features and capabilities.

The nomenclature has been revamped to include designations — Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure+, Pure+ (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless+, and Fearless+ (S). This wide range of variants ensures that there’s a Nexon EV tailored to meet every customer’s specific requirements.

Revamped Color Palette

In addition to the updated variants, Tata Motors has also refreshed the color palette for the Nexon EV facelift version. Customers can now choose from six striking colors, including:

  • Creative Ocean
  • Pristine White

  • Flame Red

The DC Fast Charger significantly reduces charging times, capable of charging the battery from 10% to 100% in just 56 minutes for both the Medium and Long Range variants. While not as fast as the dedicated wallbox chargers or DC fast chargers, the 15A Portable Charger can still efficiently charge the battery from 10% to 100%. For the Medium Range version, it takes approximately 10.5 hours, while the Long Range variant requires approximately 15 hours.
